Offensive on Zaporozhye: The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will soon be able to beat the city from artillery - ISW

To spread: Russian occupation troops have recently advanced to the southern part of Stepnogorsk, west of Orikhov. Also, according to ISW, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation allegedly captured the village of Plavni. It is noted that Russian troops are currently seven kilometers from Primorsky (northwest of Stepnogorsk) and 11 kilometers from Bezelka (north of Stepnogorsk).

The Institute of War Research (ISW) states that the promotion of about five kilometers in the direction of any of these settlements will allow the Russians to fire Zaporozhye from artillery units. It is worth noting that only Russian military bloggers were informed about the occupation of the village of Plavni (west of Orikhov). There are no confirmation of these statements in ISW.

The purpose of this promotion by Russia: to keep positions on the front line and to protect the rear districts from Ukrainian attacks. Neither Ukrainian nor Russian sources reported on ground activity in the Gulyaypil direction on July 27. Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not record any fighting in the Orikhiv direction. In his evening, he only noted that the invaders were struck by managed airbots in the village of Novoandriivka.
