"Money does not smell": Europe does not want to forbid Russia to bypass sanctions - Podolyak (video)

According to the Advisor to the Presidential Office, the West has all the tools to ensure that restrictions are really effective, but cooperation with the Kremlin in the third year of a full -scale war is ongoing. Europe can do everything to close the loopholes and Russia has been able to bypass international sanctions. At the same time, apparently, she does not want to do it. This was stated by the adviser to the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak on the Freedom TV channel.

According to him, many Western companies continue to work in Russia and pay taxes to the state budget there. From there, money is already going to finance the war against Ukraine. In two years, it would be possible to do everything to ban the Kremlin bypassing sanctions, but Europe "does not want". "Because money does not smell. A lot of people who have the citizenship of European countries, make money on defense transit, export, import of goods to Russia and from Russia through Belarus.

We see the latest scandals with the import of Russian grain and mineral fertilizers into the territory of European countries through Belarus. At the same time, Russian grain enters the EU through Belarus in much more than Ukrainian grain, " - said Mikhail Podolyak. He added that the European Union is currently discussing a 50 percent duty, but it is not a complete ban on the import of Russian grain and cargo. Accordingly, the war allows them to either sell goods more expensive or buy cheaper.

Products in Russia are now supplied 2-3 times more expensive than it was before a full-scale invasion. At the same time, it is very difficult to collaborate with Russia with Russia, because both sides will still try to look for bypass. "All sanctions rest on one simple thing. Those who want to get around the sanctions can always say: you forbid us to sell something in Russia, and there officially work thousands of companies with European jurisdiction.

They sell anything: food, leather products and other types of goods. Yes, someone goes from the Russian market, and many companies remain, " - continued Mikhail Podolyak. We will remind, on March 22 it was reported that China and France are pressing on Ukraine to give it up of the "list of sponsors of war". According to journalists, Kiev may have to soften their position, as it becomes difficult for it to ensure the level of support from other countries.
