To endure the Russian energy terror is now our national task - the appeal of the President of Ukraine
Despite the physical advantage of enemy artillery - simply quantitative - our warriors provide better results. The advantage of our artillerymen is qualitative - skill, intelligence, faith in ourselves and in our country. And I signed the decrees on the celebration of two brigades with a special distinction - "For Courage and Courage". It is the 43rd separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Taras Tryasil and the 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danylo the Apostle.
Thank you guys for the accuracy! Ukrainian engineering troops are those warriors who make a vital contribution to the promotion of our units, and therefore to the liberation of our territory. They create a material basis for the movement of troops and to protect positions - barriers, crossings, demining and more. I thank all the units of these two troops, every warrior, our soldiers and all who support them and who helps them.
Today, there were various negotiations and meetings during the day to strengthen our country. The visit of the President of Greece, and the key meaning of the visit is the defensive. We have received the first batch of armored vehicles from Greece, very much needed now. They discussed defensive cooperation, strengthening sanctions against Russia, preparation of a special journey regarding the crime of Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Of course, they also talked about Ukraine's rebuilding.
For Greece, all this is a special subject. The community of Ukrainian Greeks traditionally lives in the south of our country, in many cities and villages, much of which has been very affected by Russian blows. Many Greeks lived in Mariupol, in the Mariupol area . . . I hope to actively support Greece of our efforts to bring all Russian murderers and executioners to be legally responsible for making them against our people.
And when we return the Ukrainian flag to all cities and villages of the south of our country, we will definitely invite Greece, its companies and professionals to participate in the restoration of normal life in this part of Ukraine. Today, he met with representatives of the US Congress - senators Chris Kuns and Robot Portman. He thanked them for the unchanged two -party support and for the help that the United States is given to our country.
They talked about the air shield for Ukraine, how to accelerate the liberation of our territory. Separately and very substantially discussed the challenges in the energy. Russian blows on our energy, our energy facilities do not stop any day. This night, Iranian drones were attacked by Kryvyi Rih. Such Russian terror has to get - and in the end will get - a powerful global answer. I thank our friends in the United States who help it.
In general, there is a country of destruction of energy objects in different areas - it is the volume of generation and transportation of electricity that provides millions of people. Only this evening was temporarily disconnected from emergency and stabilization schedules about 4. 5 million consumers. In particular in Kyiv and ten regions: Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhya region, Sumy region, Kirovohrad region, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy region.
Disconnections in other regions are also possible. To endure the Russian energy terror, to pass such a test is our national task, one of the main ones now. The very fact that Russia resorted to terror against energy testifies to the weakness of the enemy. They cannot defeat Ukraine on the battlefield and therefore try to break our people - to humiliate Ukrainians, to strike in the spirit of our people, to resist our people. I believe that it will not succeed.
It is now important that our ability to take joint action is preserved. So today I want to pay attention to two things. The first is the attention of local authorities. Please, in all cities and communities of Ukraine, make sure that there is no need to use electricity. Now it is definitely not the time for bright showcases, signboards, advertising and other such lighting. I also turn to power companies - specifically publicly to hear it.
Please explain more actively to people when and why you disconnect a particular street. Now is the time of such microcommunications. People have the right to know. And if consumers are addressing and reporting this or that injustice in energy supply, please respond immediately. Work with the local authorities. If someone without light for eight or ten hours, and across the road is connected with street lighting, then it is definitely unfair.
Everything must be done to make the shutdowns predictable and understandable to consumers. In particular, he spoke about energy challenges today with the President of Moldova. The horrific consequences of Russian hybrid aggression are felt by all Europeans, and Moldova citizens are also. They talked from Mrs. Sandu about what we can do together in the interests of our people and to protect our states. He also spoke with the President of Indonesia.
The topic is clear - it is the Summit of the Great Twenty, which will begin soon. These are our efforts to prevent the food crisis. And I thank Mr. President for their support in this matter, for a positive evaluation of our efforts. Today is the IAEA conclusion - quite obvious. The mission of the organization visited all those objects that Russian representatives mentioned when they told their fantasies about the so -called dirty bomb.
We invited the IAEA to check, we gave them full freedom of action on the respective objects, and we have clear and irrefutable evidence that no "dirty bomb" in Ukraine has created or created in Ukraine. And the only thing that is dirty in our region now is the heads of those in Moscow, who, unfortunately, seized control of the Russian state and terrorizes Ukraine and the whole world.
An important document has been prepared and published today by an international group of experts working under the leadership of Michael McFol and Andrew Ermak. This is a document on absolutely necessary sanctions against Russia in the IT sphere. This is what can really weaken the potential of Russian aggression. IT is used for rocket and drone terror, for the production of military equipment, for cyberattacks and the spread of misinformation.
That is one of the supports of the Russian war against Ukraine and freedom around the world. We offer a specific path to break this Russian IT. I am sure that we will fulfill this task - relevant new sanctions against Russia will definitely be. And finally. Today, 107 Ukrainians have been fired from Russian captivity. Six of them are officers, 101 are sergeants and ordinary. The army, the Navy, Terrobron, National Guard, Border Guards . . . Many of them were injured, and very seriously.
Everyone is already provided with the necessary help. I am sincerely glad that another 107 families saw their relatives, and thank you to our whole team who provided this exchange: intelligence, office, security service, Ombudsman.
