The SBU detained the Russian agent who settled in the Zaporozhye Ova (video)
According to the information of the Security Service, the attacker was a local resident who independently addressed the occupiers in September and offered assistance in the war with Ukraine. "He wrote about it in one of the Russian chatbots created to collect information on the movement of units of the Armed Forces in the frontline regions. The FSB staff member was remotely released and involved in cooperation," the statement reads.
It is noted that initially the man worked at one of the local enterprises that serve the military equipment of the Armed Forces. There he shot the factory and military equipment on the phone. In addition, the attacker tried to explore data on other repair bases and logistics centers. Already in October, the suspect was employed in the Zaporizhzhya Ova as the chief specialist of the cybersecurity department.
Through access to the servers of the institution, he tried to obtain information on the depiction of the Armed Forces and defense purchases. The agent communicated with the invaders through anonymous chats in messengers. Law enforcement officers conducted searches from the man and removed the phone with evidence of subversive activity. He has been suspected and is now in custody. For a local resident, he faces up to 12 years in prison.
