"Putin should go": Stephen King turned to the Russians because of the war in Ukraine

Stephen King criticized Russia for the foolish war and the shelling of civilians. American writer Stephen King appealed to the inhabitants of Russia to stop the war in Ukraine. He posted a message on January 28 on his Twitter page. The "Horror King" condemned Russian aggression and invasion of troops into the territory of Ukraine, as well as strikes in peaceful Ukrainian areas. "For God, Russia, stop this senseless war in Ukraine. Stop bombing the naked civilians," Stephen King wrote.

Many social network users supported the writer's request, but some noted that the words would not be enough to terminate the fighting. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also commented on the appeal of celebrity and assured that the Russians do not want to stop the war, but Ukrainian troops will make them retreat.

The author of the novels is not for the first time publicly supports Ukraine. In October, Stephen King on behalf of the whole world urged Russia to take away from Ukrainian lands.
