According to journalists, the building belongs to the Russian transnational energy company Gazprom. Local publications also posted photos and videos from the scene that shows the facade damage. Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram-channel stated that the drone had crashed into the "administrative building of a resource company". "The facade of the building has been damaged. Operational services work on the spot," the official wrote.

According to Gladkov, as a result of the attack, two men were framed. In the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, they announced the termination of Kyiv's attempt to strike drones on objects in the Russian Federation. According to the Russian defense department, three Ukrainian drones were allegedly destroyed over the Belgorod region of the air defense.
