EW against drones: in Ukraine, the "Kvazar-A" system was created to protect the vehicles of the Armed Forces

Share: The Ukrainian company TAF Industries presented the Kvazar-A electronic warfare system to protect cars and armored vehicles from Russian drones. It suppresses control and video transmission channels in five frequency bands. The developer disclosed the details in a video on his Telegram channel. As TAF Industries assures, "Kvazar-A" is a compact and reliable short-range EW.

It is designed to combat kamikaze drones and multi-rotor bombers with drop systems, creating a dome of obstacles with a coverage of up to 300 meters at 360 degrees. The battery lasts for up to 2 hours. Five channels with a power of 100 W are provided with any frequencies to choose from. The complex is installed on the vehicle using a magnetic fastener, the deployment speed is about 5 minutes.

"Kvazar-A" can work in dust, under rain and at low temperatures thanks to protection according to the IP66 standard. "He holds the line of defense, protects the crew, saves life," the video says. Russian kamikaze drones constantly attack the transport of the Armed Forces, so engineers are looking for means of protection. In July, the Kvertus company released the AD CERBERUS modular EW system installed on a car. It should suppress drones at a distance of 100 meters.
