Opening borders: It became known how many Ukrainians after the war plan to leave forever
Ilka Kucheriv together with the Sociological Service of the Razumkov Center, the vast majority of Ukrainians are going to stay at home. If the border is opened for all categories of the population, 21% of citizens surveyed are collected from Ukraine. The proportion of men who would like to leave is 25%and women are 17%. Instead, 70% of respondents do not want to go to another country for permanent residence.
And the older the age group to which the respondent belongs, the smaller the proportion of those who want to leave the country. Most often, Ukrainians aged 18 to 29 (33%) were told about plans to leave, and only 9%are among the respondents, who for 60 years. Among the respondents aged 30 to 39, 27%wished to go abroad, among the respondents 40-49 years-23%, 50-59 years-16%. The main motivation for traveling abroad to the PMP was indicated by the lack of opportunities for development (30. 5%).
Also among the causes of life as a result of fighting (29%), insufficient social support from the state (29%), the desire to reunite with relatives (26%), the desire to take out relatives (23%), and the inability to find work according to Respondent's requirements (21%). The survey of 1518 respondents was reported from November 29 to December 14, 2024 in the territories controlled by the Government of Ukraine and which do not host.
