This was reported by the mayor of the city Igor Terekhov in his Telegram channel on August 1.

According to him, at least three arrivals were recorded in the suburbs and densely populated areas of the city, including Shevchenkivsky and Saltovsky. "One of the drones destroyed two floors of one of the dormitories. There is a fire, there are SES units," the mayor wrote almost immediately after the incident. In a comment to "Public", the Kharkiv police chief noted that 6-7 UAVs were previously launched.

In the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv region, Russian invaders also commented. The Russian Federation used drones-Kamikadze, one of which hit the three-storey building of an educational institution in the Saltov district. This led to partial destruction of structures of 2 and 3 floors and roofs. As a result, a fire began, which was eliminated by 50 rescuers. Previously, there were no people in the building, so there were no casualties and victims.

"Another 3 enclosures were recorded on the territory of the sports facility in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. A two -storey building was partially damaged. There was no fire. The speaker of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office Dmitry Chubenko also confirmed the attack and noted that the "Shakhda" was launched from the Belgorod region. The victim was a guardian of the enterprise, with which explosions were recorded.
