Laser connection between satellites: Russia has tested "Starlinka analogue" - media (video)

According to journalists, Russia is trying to create a satellite group similar to Starlink. Thus, in 2024, Kremlin head Vladimir Putin instructed to allocate 116 billion rubles for the development of a high -speed satellite Internet. The Russian company "Bureau 1440" has tested in space a laser connection between satellites, which should be an analogue of Starlink. Militarnyi writes about it. The company itself stated that the tests of satellites of their own development were successful.

It is reported that more than 200 GB was transferred at a speed of 10 Gbps between spacecraft at a distance of more than 30 kilometers from each other. In this case, the average bit of bugs (BER) was less than 10E^-11, which can be compared with fiber-optic lines. The company noted that it is the earliest, but extremely important stage of confirmation of the capacity and potential of one of these technology.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia stated that such technology will allow the Internet and communication where it is impossible to establish land base stations. According to journalists, Russia is trying to create a satellite group similar to Starlink. Thus, in 2024, Kremlin head Vladimir Putin instructed to allocate 116 billion rubles in the next decade for the development of a high -speed satellite Internet. However, the real full cost of the Bureau of 1440 should be at least $ 7 billion.

The declared 116 billion rubles will be enough for 20% of the project co -financing. Earlier it was reported that the Russian Federation presented a new reconnaissance UAV "IRT-Skut". The drone was equipped with an electric motor, which allows it to develop speeds up to 90 km/h. In this case, the range of its flight is 50 km, and the time of autonomous work - 1 hour. We will also remind that the SCO caught the "greasy" purpose of the invaders with the latest Ukrainian development.
