Putin's "martial law

Diplomats stressed that the Russian presidential decree has no weight in the international arena, and its "martial law" is an attempt to deal with the guerrillas in the occupied Ukrainian territories. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin "martial law" in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The corresponding document was published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The decree of the President of the Russian Federation in the profile ministry was called void and does not have legal consequences for Ukraine and its citizens, as well as for the international community. However, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that such a step is another example of Russian leadership crimes against our country and Ukrainians.

According to them, even massive Russian propaganda is not capable of masking Russia's efforts to annex the Ukrainian territories. Diplomats also emphasized that the introduction in the territory of 4 Ukrainian regions of martial law under the laws of Russia is an attempt to suppress the resistance of the inhabitants of Luhansk, Donetsk region, Zaporozhye and Kherson region, which oppose the Russian occupation.

"We urge international partners to strongly condemn the intention of Russian occupation administrations, under the guise of the so -called martial law, to deprive the inhabitants of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine even basic human rights, as well as their illegal plans to legalize looting, compulsory deportations and mobilization," he said.
