"Dark Typhon" Gerasimova: Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation disgraced at a briefing (video)

The Russian general combined the American hypersonic system of Dark Eagle and the Typhoon Dark Eagle rocket complex, creating the hybrid name Dark Typhoon that does not really exist. The Russian General Staff was in the spotlight through confusion in official statements. The head of the department Valery Gerasimov during a briefing for foreign military attaches got into an uncomfortable position, saying that NATO had placed a missile complex called "Dark Typhon" on Bornholm on the island.

According to Gerasimov, the mentioned complex was involved in Steadfast Defender's exercises, but no NATO country has a system with a similar name. Analysts suggest that the Russian General could combine the American hypersonic system "Dark Eagle" and a medium -range missile complex "Typhoon", creating a hybrid name "Dark Typhoon" that does not really exist.

It is noteworthy that Gerasimov read his speech "on the cheat sheet" during the speech, so it is difficult to say who became the author of "Dark Typhon" - Gerasimov himself or his speech. This error has become another example of contradictions in the statements of the Russian leadership.

For example, in November, President Vladimir Putin gave inaccuracies in terms of serial production of RS-26 "Orezhnik" rocket-he first declared his readiness and then specify that production would only begin in the future. Another reason for criticism was the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about the whipped Ukrainian planes. According to Russian officials, the number of aircraft destroyed exceeds the total number of NATO aviation in Europe.
