It can be applied at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, Shephard Media reports. Laser weapons consist of a small turel with a illuminator, camera, leader and laser emitter. According to representatives of the developer, Helma-P produces a laser beam with a capacity of 2 kW and is able to detect, track and neutralize drones at a distance of up to 1 km.

Such laser weapons can be used as a stationary system or installed on a vehicle or ship. The Helma-P installation has been tested several times at the land and at sea with the support of the French Defense Agency (DGA), the Defense Innovation Agency (AID) and the Navy of France. Laser weapons were tested during the Coubertin Lad 2 exercises organized by the France Air Force. The training was focused on testing the possibilities of fighting drones on the eve of the Olympic Games in 2024.
