Air Defense Alternative: Britain protested the anti -wave microwave weapons Rapidtestroyer (video)

To spread: The UK Ministry of Defense protested high -power microwave weapons (RF Dew) called Rapidestroyer. The Anti -Pitnal Complex disrupts drones by means of radio waves at a distance. This is stated in the press release of the department on April 17. Among the promising anti -car systems that are currently being developed in the UK, the most famous Dragonfire laser complex is already being developed and tested by RF Dew - Radiofrequency Directed Energy Weapon.

Electromagnetic weapons with directional radiation in the microwave destroy the electronics of drones. Moreover, unlike combat lasers, which are burned with "shots", such weapons are acting in a certain sector, Defense Express writes. The tests of powerful weapons were held at a landfill in Western Wales and became the largest training of the British army to counteract drones. Rapidestroyer can be an effective and economical alternative to traditional air defense missile systems.

The RF Dew system can destroy air targets up to 1 km away and is effective against threats that cannot be neutralized by electronic struggle. According to the British MO, two swarms of eight drones were neutralized during a recent test. In total, more than 100 UAVs were destroyed within the project. It should be noted that this is not a ready -made model, but only a technology and solution demonstrator. However, it is already working successfully.

Apparently, the tests of RF Dew lasted since May 2024. The new system was created by the British Thales unit with the active participation of the units of the country's Ministry of Defense. In addition to the radiator, the RF Dewwor is a system of detection of drones, which consists of a radar station, optical sensor and a diaper. Rapidstroyer is mounted on a truck and consumes a lot of energy. The RF Dew system is expected to be transferred to the British Army in 2026.

"And in general, these microwave burn of drones are now considered a promising remedy against drones, especially against their swarm use. In addition to the United Kingdom, they are actively tested by the US Armed Forces, which are looked at Leonidas from Epirus," Defense Express reports. Recall that the Russians began to use poisonous "Shahda" against Ukrainians.
