In particular, in the Kirovograd region, three young men aged 17 and 18 have penetrated the territory of the military airfield to burn the helicopter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, they planned to destroy an electrical substation that provides electricity of tens of thousands of people. In the Poltava region, law enforcement officers exposed a recidivist who set fire to a military car involved in tasks on the Eastern Front.
As the investigation was established, this man was previously held accountable for the abduction of the car, and in the fall of 2024 he received a new task from Russian curators - to destroy the equipment of the Armed Forces. Another case occurred in Cherkasy region, where a 34-year-old resident of the region set fire to the transformer substation. This equipment provided the power supply for the railway area that is important for the transportation of military and civilian goods.
All suspects were recruited through Telegram channels, where they were looking for "easy" earnings. However, instead of the promised remuneration, they were suspected of Ukrainian law enforcement. The detainees are charged with sabotage, obstruction of the Armed Forces and deliberate damage to the property, which is threatened with life imprisonment with the confiscation of property.
