Strong support and strengthening of sanctions against Russia: Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with David Lammy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of Great Britain David Lammy. The head of state thanked Great Britain for the decision to allocate a package of energy support. "This is very important. There are now many daily missile attacks on our energy sector and any support is great support. We need it every day - to strengthen our energy infrastructure, and we are very grateful for it," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President separately noted the importance of the declaration signed by Ukraine, Great Britain and France in Paris. "We are very grateful that we have those who are so supportive of our entire people - all your people. The last meeting with your Prime Minister, David, was key for us. I am very grateful for such steps towards peace. And I am very grateful that we, with the United Kingdom and France, signed this first step of the Coalition of the Willing.

This declaration is the first big step," the Head of State said. During the meeting, they talked about continuing joint efforts and diplomatic work to achieve a decent peace. Volodymyr Zelenskyi and David Lammy paid special attention to the sanctions policy against Russia. The president emphasized that the Russian leader does not show a desire to end the war, and therefore the partners should increase the sanctions pressure.
