Council for 50 years imposed sanctions against Russia and Belarus: what is known

New restrictions will affect the defense industry of the two countries. On November 22, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to introduce sectoral economic and other sanctions against Russia and Belarus. According to MP Jaroslav Zheleznyak, according to legislative initiative No. 10271, the next 50 years reported in his Telegram-channel.

He noted that new restrictions will affect the defense-industrial complex (OPK) of the Russian Federation and Belarus. "The said decision of the NSDC supported the proposals made by the Cabinet of Ministers to apply certain sectoral economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) in the defense-industrial sphere for a term of 50 years,"-the message reads.

According to the document, Ukraine deals with the following sanctions: in the meantime, we recall that the European Union plans to prohibit the export of machines and components for weapons production to Russia. These restrictions are expected to enter up to 12 EU sanctions against the aggressor country. It should also have a ban on the supply of diamonds and other materials from the Russian Federation. The previous one, the Allies of Ukraine were approved in the summer of 2023.
