Powerful Weapon Seller: Iranian UAVs affect world wars - Bloomberg
According to the newspaper, in January, the rebels involved in the fighting against the Sudan army reported their drone and posted on the Internet a video showing the fragments of the device. The drone was designed on the model of the Iranian model Ababil. Bloomberg described this model as the main tool of armed groups in the Middle East. Since its creation in the 1990s, the Iranian model Ababil has been widely used in the production of unmanned apparatus.
Sudan, in turn, modifies the Iranian drone, turning it into its own weapon called ZAGEL-3. Over the past two years, drones developed using Iranian technology have begun to be produced in at least five countries located from South America to Central Asia. It is known that Russia also launched the production of drones called "Shahda", also known as "geranium" among Russian manufacturers.
According to journalists, the spread of relatively low -tech Iranian drones poses new threats to stability in the Middle East and provokes tension on four continents. "Iranian diplomacy of drones earns foreign currency to finance its defense industry, strengthen its strategic alliances and makes it a powerful weapon merchant - with the potential to change the nature of conflict around the world," Bloomberg writes.
Iran does not confirm the fact of selling shock drones to Moscow, but recognizes that a "small number" was sent in Ukraine before the start of a full -scale war. According to experts, this step indicates the growing ambitions of Iran and the desire to strengthen the connection with the Russian Federation. The US and their allies, including Israel, are trying to resist the expansion of Tehran.
