According to the fighters, after discovering the target moving in the direction of the capital, the soldiers opened fire from machine guns. During a large -scale Russian attack, which occurred on Friday, December 29, soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine shot down a rocket from small arms. It happened near Kiev. The National Guard press service reports on Facebook. The mobile fire group of the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the Guard successfully intercepted the enemy winged rocket.

According to them, after discovering the target heading towards the capital, the fighters began to use machine guns. The National Guards reported that the fuel tanks were detonated as a result of the shooting without the combat part of the rocket, which led to the loss of control and height. It should be noted that mobile air defense groups were organized in Ukraine in response to active attacks by Russia last spring.

The main purpose of most of these mobile air defense groups is the destruction of drones-Kamikadze, issued by Russian invaders in Ukraine. Focus wrote that in the morning of December 29, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive rocket firing in Ukraine. The explosions thickened in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporozhye, Odessa, Lviv and Kiev. In the afternoon, the Russian invaders were targeted on December 29 by rocket strikes in Cherkasy and Sumy regions.
