623 Ukraine's cultural heritage objects were affected by the invasion of the Russian Federation - Minkult

The department noted that damage or complete destruction of cultural heritage objects was recorded in 15 regions of Ukraine. From February 24, 2022 to May 15, 2023, 623 fixed objects of cultural heritage of Ukraine were damaged or destroyed. This was stated on June 7 by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. It is reported that among them are of 80 objects, local importance - 484. In addition, the recently discovered objects affected - 59.

The report states that the priority measures for recovery were carried out on 85 monuments, However, only 23 objects were completely restored. The Ministry of Culture noted that damage or complete destruction of cultural heritage objects was recorded in 15 regions of Ukraine: it is reported that in the mid-May 2023 in the territory of Transcarpathian, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Volyn, Poltava, Kirovograd, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Ternopil, Ivanograd, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ivano-Frankivsk.

There were no damage to cultural heritage objects as a result of hostilities. The Ministry of Culture noted that out of 623 damaged cultural heritage monuments, 576 are in the territories where hostilities or temporarily occupied territories were carried out.
