Will Poland be confused by Russian missiles over Ukraine: Stoltenberg gave a specific answer (video)

The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance emphasized the invariance of NATO policy, which does not imply direct involvement in war. At the same time, Stoltenberg promised to support Kiev in the destruction of Russian aircraft. The idea of potential confusion of Russian missiles and drones in the airspace of Ukraine in an interview with the Telelorphone was commented on NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"NATO will support Ukraine and we have now increased our support, in particular at the expense of various air defense systems. Of course, the F-16 is also important in this context. We will provide more terrestrial air defense systems and ammunition to those agents that are already available," Said NATO Secretary General. According to him, these will be Patriot and Nasams Tactical Systems.

At the same time, the proposal of Poland to knock Russian missiles over the territory of Ukraine, Stoltenberg noted that it would not be. "But NATO policies are unchanged: we will not participate in this conflict, we will not become part of the conflict. Therefore, we will support Ukraine in the destruction of Russian aircraft, but NATO will not be involved directly," NATO General.

We will remind, on July 8 in Warsaw President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk signed a security agreement. The document, among other things, refers to the possibility of beating by Poland of Russian rockets and drones that fly in the direction of its territory. The head of the Polish government noted that the implementation of this initiative requires cooperation and approval by the North Atlantic Alliance.
