The US Defense Ministry's intelligence notes that the PRC has advanced further than the Russian Federation in the development of hypersonic weapons. It has rockets that can overcome more than 1600 km, which is enough to defeat the base in the western Pacific. China was ahead of the Russian Federation in the development of hypersonic missiles that are able to bypass traditional remedies. The PRC has the opportunity to impress the US base in the Pacific.

This was reported by Vice, referring to the employee of the Intelligence Administration of the US Defense Ministry (DIA) Paul Frester. China, Russia and the US are competing in the development of hypersonic weapons so that the first to gain advantage over other countries, which probably have no protection against these weapons.

"Against the backdrop of strategic competition, the events of the last few years clearly demonstrate that our competitors have been developing opportunities to jeopardize the United States," Paul Freter said during a meeting of the House of Armed Forces. He emphasizes that China is ahead of the Russian Federation in the development of hypersonic weapons, on the deployment of auxiliary infrastructure and the number of systems.

Moscow and Beijing conducted a series of successful tests of hypersonic developments. At the same time, according to DIA representative, China conducted successful tests of hypersonic weapons with a range of 1600 km, which will impress targets in the western Pacific. The PRC is also developing an air-reactive hypersonic engine, the same work is being done in the United States.
