Military salaries delays: the Council told whether they had enough money in the budget for payments to fighters

To spread: in the project of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025, a shortage of about 300 billion hryvnias required for payments to servicemen was formed. Ensuring the army financing is the main challenge for the coming months. This was reported by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Roksolana Pidlas in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. "We have to persuade partners to give money for salaries to the military. This is a key task," the MP emphasized.

According to Podlas, the main option to cover the lack of funds is to attract the so -called repair loan from the EU, the US and the United Kingdom. She noted that this could be the only real source of additional revenues. In addition, Ukraine plans to negotiate with the European Commission on the use of 6 billion euros from the ERA Loans program formed by income from frozen Russian assets. The government wants to direct these funds to the needs of the army.

Pidlasa emphasized that there is no increase in basic taxes in the government's plans. At the same time, possible changes in the field of excise duties are considered. At the same time, cooperation with the IMF, she said, provides for the balance of budget and transparency of financing. Also, MP Maxim Buzhansky published a correspondence with the subcash. He stressed that she denied rumors about possible delays in payments to the Ukrainian military.
