Instead of "Kalashnikov": Russian scouts were armed with CORD (video)

To spread: Russian intelligence units that are part of the occupying group of "Vostok" troops began to receive new A-545 CORD machines with a system of balanced automation. In the Russian media, an interview with one of the fighters was published, in which he demonstrates a new model of weapons. According to him, the KORD machine is now issued on a permanent basis instead of Kalashnikov. Previously, the intelligence units were dominated by AK series: AK-74, AKM and newer AK-12.

However, A-545, despite the fact that the AK-12 in the competition program "Ratnik", began to enter the troops, probably within the framework of a separate procurement channel for special units. "This is our full -time machine, now they have started to use it. It has virtually no return, it is insignificant," - says the Russian military. The main technical feature of A-545 is the use of a balanced automation, first worked on the AEC-971 machine.

The essence of the structure is in the presence of a moving balance that moves in the opposite direction relative to the shutter group. These elements are connected by a synchronizing gear, which provides a minimal pulse of recoil and scattering of balls during shooting. The design allows the fighter to hold the sight without adjusting even during intense shooting. According to the Russian soldiers, a shop of 30 rounds can be released with a minimum of aiming.

Meanwhile, balanced automation makes weapons more complex in production and maintenance. The weight A-545 is 700 grams higher than that of AK-12. In addition, the design is more expensive, which caused the rejection of its mass implementation in 2017. One of the design advantages A-545 is also a new barrel box with a back cover, which rigidly secured the mounting.
