Despite the reserves of Russian resources: 9 out of 10 Ukrainians against the Kremlin territorial concessions (poll)

According to the survey, the proportion of Ukrainians who believe that the Russian Federation can still wage a war against Ukraine for many years. However, the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens oppose territorial concessions for peace with the enemy. During September 29 - October 9, 2023, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted an all -Ukrainian Omnibus All -Ukrainian Public Opinion.

Analysts evaluated the attitude of Ukrainians to the enemy's propaganda narratives, in particular about the resources of the Russian Federation in the war against Ukraine. This is stated in the press release, which was prepared by the executive director of KIIS Anton Hrushetsky. One of the important propaganda narratives of the enemy is to fight with Russia unpromising, since the Russian Federation has "virtually unlimited resources" as money, people, weapons, etc.

According to analysts, Russian propaganda tries to doubt not only in Ukrainian citizens, but also among our Western partners.

In February 2023 and in September - October 2023, experts asked the respondents with what point they agree to a greater extent: analyzing the results obtained, experts came to the conclusion that, compared to February 2023, now from 22% to 49% has become more than those, more Who believes that the Russian Federation still maintains a considerable stock of resources and can still wage war against Ukraine for many years.

The proportion (from 67% to 43%) has decreased (from 67%) those who believe that Russia will exhaust its resources and in the foreseeable future the war can end on acceptable conditions for Ukraine. Only in western Ukraine, most residents (57%) believe that the Russian Federation will exhaust their resources. In other regions, the opinion of a significant stock of resources of Russia already prevails. This is especially true of the inhabitants of the South and East of Ukraine.

According to Hrushetsky, a significant increase in faith in "unlimited" enemy resources is a dangerous trend. Particularly vulnerable is the population of the South and East of Ukraine, where the indicators are worse. At the same time, most citizens of Ukraine believe that our state should not abandon any of its territories, even if the war lasts longer and there will be threats to independence.

Among the inhabitants of the South and East, who believe in significant resources of Russia, 29% are ready for territorial concessions and at the same time 66% are against such concessions. However, residents of the event and the center who believe in significant resources of the Russian Federation, 15% support concessions, and 78% oppose them. "That is, we see alarming trends, but they (at least now) are not a testament to the readiness of Ukrainians to" peace "with the enemy.
