The rocket was not neutralized - they stayed in Poland for three minutes, reached the Lublin Voivodeship, and then returned to Ukraine. The response of Polish politicians and military was told at the portal of the Polska Agencja Prasowa (PAP). A few hours after the incident on the Polish-Ukrainian border, a meeting of the National Security Council of Poland was held, journalists of the portal wrote.
During the meeting, convened by President of Poland Andrzej Duda, the head of the Ministry of National Defense and the head of the General Staff of Poland, they explained what happened in the morning of December 29. The head of the General Staff of Poland, General Veslav Kukula, stated that the penetration of an unknown object took place at 7:12 (in Polish time, ie at 8:12 in Kiev). The object maneuvered about three minutes.
The military identified what they saw on the radars - they are sure that it was a rocket of the Russian Federation. The rocket was monitored by Polish and allied radars, the military said. F-16 fighters were directed to the area where it crossed the border. In addition, the land forces and forces of territorial defense were involved - they followed the Russian projectile from the Earth. The official called the area where the Russian rocket - the Lublin Voivodeship.
In the post X (earlier - Twitter), the press service of the Armed Forces of Poland thanked the local authorities for their help. The head of the Ministry of Defense Vladislav Khymslav-Kamish assured Poland's citizens that they can be calm for their safety. The military explained that during the emergence of the Russian rocket, both national and allied planes were raised into the sky. " Polish President Andrzej Duda on the social network X has not yet commented on the representatives of the defense agencies: there are only official statements of the office of the head of the state about the results of the meeting. Prime Minister Donald Tusk said it was maintaining contact with Duda and the Defense Ministry to "work for the security of Poland".
It should be noted that during the Russian massive blow on the morning of December 29 it became known about the penetration of an unknown object into the territory of Poland. According to Polish journalists, this could be the X-101 missiles, which the Russians tried to reach one of the western regions of Ukraine. It was also approximately indicated that it was noticed near the settlement 40 kilometers from the Ukrainian-Russian border.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched 90 missiles of different types and 36 drones-Kamikadze Shahd-136 in Ukraine. The air defense forces have shot down a large part of the goals, but there are victims and destruction in a number of regions - from Sumy region to Lviv, from Kyiv to Odesa region. Kharkiv was also hit by Kharkiv-the C-300 rockets were hit on the regional center.
In Kiev, a residential building and a metro station were damaged, several apartments in an apartment building were destroyed in Odessa. There is also destruction in Dnipro, Zaporozhye, Lviv.
