P-360 "Neptune": a rocket that became a symbol of the Russian-Ukrainian war

To spread: initially the rocket was developed as a high -precision anti -ship, but later Neptune was modernized for larger purposes. As a result, the Armed Forces received a universal means of defeat up to 400 km. When, in April 2022, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia was burning in the Black Sea, it became apparent that the Ukrainian armed forces received a powerful tool for combating enemy ships.

This weapon was the anti-ship winged rocket R-360 "Neptune"-the development of the Ukrainian Defense Complex, which proved its efficiency in battle. The focus has collected information about the technical characteristics, features and combat use of the rocket. The history of this rocket began in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea. Ukraine realized that it requires its own precision anti -ship means of damage, capable of restraining the Russian fleet.

Officially, the R-360 was presented in 2015, and the first successful trials took place in 2018. Already in 2020, the complex was adopted, but its real combat capacity became apparent only during a full -scale war. The Neptune rocket is part of the RK-360MC coastline, designed to defeat the enemy ships. That is, in general, it is about a permucosal anti -ship rocket, but in 2023 it became known about the modification of ammunition for the destruction of ground targets.
