Washington did not stop supplying weapons to Ukraine: Meloni explained the situation with military aid

To spread: the United States did not interrupt the supply of weapons and support Ukraine, looking at only the decision to provide some specific components. Italy's Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, speaking at the forum in Masseria, denied that Washington had completely stopped supporting Ukraine in the war against Russia, allegedly freezing the supply of weapons, writes Ansa.

"The United States did not stop supplying weapons and support Ukraine, they reviewed their decision to supply specific components, including anti -aircraft installations," the politician said, answering questions about reducing US assistance in Kiev. She emphasized that it is certainly an important fact, but it is completely far from complete removal of the United States, which was reported earlier.

The Prime Minister also stated that she personally spoke with US President Donald Trump about Ukraine and hopes for a positive development. Recall that on July 2, the US media reported that after viewing US Pentagon arms stocks suspended the supply of anti -aircraft missiles promised to Ukraine and other precision weapons. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine assured that Kyiv did not inform about changing the schedules of weapons.
