The Polish Foreign Ministry says they were "surprised" by Prime Minister Moravetsky about weapons for Ukraine

Polish diplomats were not warned about the prime minister's statement. Therefore, they call a special meeting, after which they will voice the official position. From the first days of September, relations between Poland and Ukraine are complicated. After Russia and Turkey have not agreed to restore the grain agreement, the Polish government stated that it would not cancel the embargo on import into the country of Ukrainian agricultural products.

Finally, on September 21, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetsky stated that Warsaw stopped giving weapons to Ukraine to combat Russian invaders. The Polish Foreign Ministry reacted to his statement in a comment in the RMF24 portal within a few hours. The Polish Foreign Ministry claims that Moravtsky's statement was a surprise for Polish diplomats. They assure that his position was not officially agreed.

However, they try to explain the reason for the words of the government: he seemed to respond to "a number of absolutely unacceptable gestures on the Ukrainian side. " Meanwhile, the Twitter Office of the Poland government stated that there is a meeting between the following institutions: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Moravtsky, Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminsky and Defense Minister Mariusz Blaschak.

After Russia refused to restore the grain corridor, Poland refused to pass Ukrainian grain through its territory. It became known on September 15, when Polish officials did not cancel the embargo. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky critically spoke about the position of the government of the neighboring country. In response, Mateusz Moravetsky stated that Poland will not provide military assistance to Ukraine, but instead develop its own army.
