This was stated by the Chairman of the Joint Committee of US Headquarters General Mark Millie in an interview with Defense One on March 31. According to the commander, from a military point of view in the United States there are not many ATACMS, and you need to make sure that it will be enough. However, Washington considers other options for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to have more opportunities on the battlefield, such as percussion drones.

"And the range of weapons - I think there is some exaggeration of what atacms can do and what is not . . . the radius of action atacms is more, but there are other systems that can provide the same farminess," he said. Mark Millie added that there are UAVs with similar capabilities and that "the British have a couple of systems. " ATACMS is the Ballistic Missile "Earth - Earth" produced by the American company Lockheed Martin. It has a range up to 300 km.
