More and more Ukrainians are inclined to save on food: how the costs of Ukrainians in the war have changed
It is noted that from the beginning of a full -scale invasion, the proportion of citizens who are difficult to reduce ends meet has increased: such as 12% are currently compared to 9% 2021. At the same time, the proportion of those who feel provided, but cannot allow large purchases (from 6% to 9%) increased. The number of those who live at a sufficient level has decreased but hardly built long -term items, including furniture or household appliances (from 44% to 41%).
Compared to 2005, the proportion of citizens living at the expense of wages (from 38% to 54%) increased, and the proportion of those receiving basic income from pension or social payments decreased (from 38% to 29%). Based on the survey, we can assume that the gap between the "poor" and the "rich" has increased. There were more those who save on food. In addition, pensioners and persons who have lived on social payments are increasingly working.
The survey was conducted by the Face-To-Face method on the government-controlled territories of Ukraine, where hostilities did not last, and covered 2016 respondents aged 18 years of age.
