The blows on the energy resumed. Why Russia attacks frontier cities

Economist Andrian Prokip draws attention to the new tactics of Russians in blows to energy infrastructure. It has been in the last weeks and can have long -term consequences - with the rate of the next winter. After the quiet months of autumn and winter, when only dozens of times under fire were Kurakhiv TPP, more and more attacks are directed to the infrastructure of the frontal regions.

At the end of January and early February, the Ukrenergo infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk - and, as a consequence, was the disconnection of consumers in Kryvyi Rih. One of the substations of Ukrenergo in the east was damaged on February 6. Cases of destruction of electricity transmission lines, as well as distribution gas pipelines, have increased significantly. As a result of such attacks, tens of thousands of subscribers are disconnected.

The number of attacks and shutdowns increased significantly in February. In some cases, heat supply occurred. Only on February 7, two gas pipelines in the Nikolaev area were damaged. The tragedy in Kharkiv, when the drones in the oil depot burned down 15 houses and died at least 7 people. Kremenchuk and critical energy infrastructure in particular were under the blow. On the night of February 12, the Dnipropetrovsk region and Pavlograd were again under the sight.

In particular, the enemy aimed at infrastructure, which provides coal production. 7 mines were deactivated and a thousand miners were blocked underground. In addition, more than 50 thousand household consumers have been disconnected. The enemy's logic was clear - they were looking for a new firing tactic. And, apparently, such a new tactic was to create serious problems for providing coal. For this winter, which ends, this does not actually pose a threat.

But again, the question is: how do we take the next winter? There is a shortage of generation and attacks on the front lines close to the front lines on the Left Bank, and the corresponding problems will be further increased. To carry out repairs in these regions, of course, much more difficult than in relatively peaceful ones.

Therefore, there will be a situation where in many regions there are no problems with electricity supply, which will create a deceptive feeling about the lack of problems in the power system. But in addition to technical problems, you should expect new enemy IPSO. Their favorite tactics are to divide and eat together.
