Payments to the military during training: how much they pay mobilized
According to available information, mobilized citizens who are at the initial stage of study receive a minimum wage. This amount is 20 thousand UAH per month. Vladimir Fityo stressed that this is a basic rate for those who are just entering the Armed Forces and undergoing initial training. Initial training lasts from one to three months depending on the specialty.
For example, shooters go through the main training in one month, while the operators, the operators, drone operators and other specialists can study for up to three months. In addition, some mobilized are trained abroad, including the United Kingdom, Spain and Germany. After the initial training and arrival at the scene, the salaries of servicemen increase significantly.
Its size depends on the specific location of the service and the duties performed, varying from 20 thousand to 120 thousand hryvnias per month. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has introduced a system of additional cash payments for servicemen who perform particularly dangerous or important tasks: additional rewards for those who participate in fire fights with the enemy and other active combat operations.
This contributes to the motivation of servicemen to more efficient combat missions and enhancement of professionalism. After the initial training of mobilized servicemen, they are sent to the units where their distribution takes place. Standard financial support for the soldier starts 20 thousand hryvnias after completion of training.
