Baykar develops new Kagem Kamikaze Uaps: Why do they need a military

Kagem Kamikaze will be the first barrel ammunition for Baykar, which is going to run from the drones of Bayraktar Akinci. The Baykar Turkish company is developing a new shock drone called Kagem Kamikaze. The manufacturer mentioned the model at the IDEX 2023 exhibition in the United Arab Emirates, and the SavunMasanayist site found out the details. A product called Kagem is listed in Baykar brochure dedicated to the existing Bayraktar AKINCI combat drone.

According to the media, Kagem Kamikaze is a small barrel ammunition designed to run from another aircraft, such as the same Akinci or Bayraktar TB2. Once in the air, the drone straightens the wings, puts the system of homing and flies to its goal, exploding during the collision. This is Baykar's first experience in creating a barring ammunition.

Experts estimate that the Kagem combat part contains up to 10 kg of explosives, and the flight range is about 50-60 km, but in the future Baykar can increase it. In addition, the company is already working to create a modification to start not only from drones but also from aircraft. In 2022, Baykar launched bayraktar Akinci Bayraktar Drones. In June, Bayraktar Akinci first attacked the target at a distance of 30 km, struck by the object in the Black Sea with the help of KGK-SIHA-82 ammunition.
