"Destroy everything": the Armed Forces revealed how they beat Russia's cheap UAVs made of foam (video)
The commander of the unit with the call sign "Kotya" told about it on the air of the telecommunication on June 17. According to the officer, the Armed Forces have special units involved in the defeat of missile units and other military facilities in the border regions of the Russian Federation, of which, in particular, they fireting Kharkiv. For this purpose, the Ukrainian military conduct intelligence around the clock.
"We, for our part, destroy everything that falls under the radius of our equipment," the military said. To detect hostile air defense systems, the Armed Forces fighters make plants of foam and plastic pipes and run them into the territory of the Russian Federation. Inexpensive UAVs become a target for Russian air defense, thus revealing the location of the installations. The foam range of drones can reach up to 50 kilometers.
With the help of such means of damage, Ukrainians not only calculate the enemy's RSD, but also hunt for trains that deliver weapons to the occupiers. In December 2023, the Russians began to complain that the Armed Forces were attacking their position on the front aircraft-Kamikadze made of foam. The occupiers also posted photos showing aircraft of aircraft type: it is a housing made of blue -based blue substance and electronic "filling".
Earlier, engineers from the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade placed on the Brave Inventors platform their UAV project called "Khrushche", which is a complex from the control panel, drone-carrier and drone-Kamikadze. The developers tried to make drones as light as possible, so they chose materials such as foam, plywood, special film, PVC pipes.
Depending on the target, you can choose the type of charge for the drone-Kamikadze: 82-mm shrapnel-fugural mine, cumulative charge PG-7Vl or thermoburric charge TBG-7B. For its part, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation also use target drones to identify Ukrainian air defense systems. The UAV manufacturer is the "Center for Autonomous Robesized Systems", located in Moscow.
