There will be an ultimatum: Russia and Belarus can be banned from participating in the Olympic Games in 2024

According to the head of the Minsport of Poland, a coalition from 40 countries to put pressure on the IOC will be formed. Polish Minister Kamil Bortnichuk stated that his country, together with other partners, would seek that Russia and Belarus be banned from participating in the 2024 Olympic Games. Thus, a coalition from 40 countries is ready to put forward an ultimatum to the leadership of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Bortnichuk said this in an interview with Polskie Radio.

According to the minister, the main tasks of international "pressure" on the committee will be performed by Poland and the United Kingdom. Bortnichuk refused to share the details. "We resort to a number of events in the international arena. It is about ministers of sports 40 countries who have signed appeals to put some pressure on the leadership of the International Olympic Committee," he said.

Bortnichuk believes that the possibility of ultimatum is quite real, but he would not want Poland to be the only country that participates in it. "There should be to create an effective coalition of countries without which the game organization would be impossible," he said. It should be noted that earlier the IOC Council announced that athletes from Russia and Belarus will be able to perform at the tournaments that take place in Asia. This opens a chance to get to the 2024 Olympics in France.

The organization of the organization added that no athlete should be removed from the competition solely on the basis of a passport. The 33rd Olympic Games should take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. According to the IOC decision, Paris will become the capital of the game this time. We will remind that the President of the NOC of Ukraine Vadim Gutzait stated that Ukraine can boycott the Olympics due to the admission of Russian athletes.

He stated that Ukraine intends to contact other countries and international organizations to spill against members of the International Olympic Committee who want to return to competitions of athletes from Russia and Belarus. Focus also wrote that Zelensky was called an IOC promoter of murders and destruction.
