They will continue to be "friends": the Russian Federation explained what they will trade with the DPRK bypassing the UN sanctions

Russia plans to formally and continue to support the UN resolutions concerning North Korea. The Kremlin spokesman claims that it will not prevent her to act in her own interests and trade anything. On September 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with North Korean leader Kim Jong -in in Vladivostok. The main purpose of the meeting, as the Pentagon suggests, is the purchase of shells for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, the UN has imposed sanctions on the DPRK in connection with nuclear tests,-the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained how the aggressor country will solve this problem. Peskov stated that Russia, which is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, would continue to support sanctions if the issue rises to the UN. However, this will not prevent the development of Russian-noctual Korean relations, the spokesman said.

At the same time, he noted that UN decisions are not taken into account at all. "It cannot, it should not be an obstacle to the development of Russian-noctual Korean relations," Peskov said. The Kremlin representative also states that countries plan to cooperate "for the benefit of" the peoples of both countries, and confirmed the plans of the DPRK to "develop links" with Russia.

It should be noted that the possibility of purchasing projectiles in the DPRK became known in the middle of the summer of 2023 - that is when the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu made this country on a visit. In early September, officials of both countries confirmed that the highest level between the heads of Russia and North Korea was possible. The meeting took place on September 13: Kim Jong -in arrived at her by train, and for negotiations was chosen by the Vladivostok rocket.

The network can find a list of sanctions imposed on the DPRK by the international community in connection with the nuclear tests that took place in 2005. In particular, the UN adopted nine resolutions to limit the trade in the following goods: the DPRK was also imposed on US and EU sanctions. They relate to a similar list of goods and technologies.
