"Volunteer wave" for money: experts told about the probable number of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

According to Polish observers, the Russian army does not lack in personnel. There are two reasons for this - the money promised by the contract and propaganda, which proposes "to protect the Motherland with honor. " The deputy chairman of the Russian Rada Dmitry Medvedev informed that this year a huge wave of volunteers came to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Russia. Namely, from January 1 to August 3 this year, more than 231 thousand people were admitted to the contract service.

In this regard, Polish observers from Defense 24 tried to determine the number of Russian servicemen taking into account the inevitable losses. First of all, the observers noted that the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin No. 575 of August 25, 2022, the staffing of the Russian army from January 1, 2023 was increased from 1 013 628 to 1 150 628 servicemen.

On the other hand, in December 2022, the Defense Minister Shoigu announced the planned increase in the number of armed forces to 1. 5 million servicemen, including contractors - up to 695 thousand people. At the same time he did not specify what period this increase will occur. It is also unclear whether Putin has already made changes to his decree to increase the army to 1. 15 million military personnel through a secret disposal.

In addition, the authors of the publication note, and real losses should be taken into account, which officials in the Russian Federation are silent, providing false information. "Of course, the Russians do not declare their irreversible losses and those who have returned to the war with Ukraine.

The exact number of Russian soldiers, dead or missing during the war, as well as the number of servicemen who were injured that they did not allow them to return to the military Service, unknown, " - experts say. However, the number of contractors who voluntarily go to the war is quite large. Polish experts believe the main motivation is money and propaganda.

On the one hand, unemployment in the Russian hinterland pushes people to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the choice of service in the ranks of the Russian army is often the only socio-economic solution for them. On the other hand, the propaganda of military service, where they propose "with honor to defend the Motherland", participating in the so -called one, present everywhere.

Thus, despite the absence of accurate figures about the number of soldiers of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the army of the invaders does not complain about the lack of personnel. "As we can see, Russia has already switched to the military regime. This applies to both the armed industry and the population. The public is constantly deceived by false facts and information about the causes and course of war with Ukraine. " - experts summed up.
