The UK did not provide "100% permission" on Storm Shadow rockets in Russia - Zelensky

According to the President of Ukraine, the British government is actually waiting for a similar decision to be made in Washington. Earlier, Kyiv has raised this issue twice. Kyiv would like to use long -range weapons for attacks in Russian territory, including the UK Storm Shadow missiles. This was stated in the interview with The Guardian President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In particular, he stressed that, despite the available reports of the opposite, the UK has not yet received a "100% permission" to use its missiles for blows for purposes in the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian leader believes that the official London is actually waiting for the appropriate decision to be made in Washington. Volodymyr Zelensky also noted that Kyiv raised this issue twice, but from the head of the British Foreign Ministry David Kemeron did not receive confirmation.

The President believes that making the final decision of the United Kingdom and other allies regarding such permission depends on the "consensus", and the point of view of the United States is crucial. "You know how it works," he added. On May 3, it became known that during a visit to Kiev, the Minister of Foreign British David Cameron stated that Ukraine had the right to strike in Russian territory with British weapons.

In turn, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities reported that the United States granted permission for limited use of their weapons for strikes in the Russian Federation. We will remind, on May 28 it became known that NATO Secretary -General Jens Stoltenberg favored the viewing of restrictions on the restrictions of Ukraine's strikes in Russia with weapons from Western partners through the activation of border fights in Kharkiv region.
