One of the military, who has the experience of exploitation of various artillery systems, confirmed that the wear of the barrel channel remains slow: howitzer keeps accuracy even after 7-8 thousand shots. For his part, the representative of the manufacturer explained that the key to the accuracy of the system lies in the unique cutting of the trunk and the design of the central support, which stabilizes the gun. However, the exact parameters of the rifles remain classified.

Also on the frames you can notice the presence of a ballistic speed calculator, probably 112L4, which can increase the accuracy of fire. "The secret is a cut of the barrel, it is secret information, angle and quantity, as well as the presence of a central support that additionally stabilizes the gun," - said weapons. The 2C22 Howitzes use ammunition both Ukrainian production and transmitted by Western partners.

According to the military, the expenditure of the shells is influenced by the level of coherence of the units. Since Bogdan's SAU is Ukrainian development, its maintenance and repair are carried out in a short time. The manufacturer - Kramatorsk Plant of Heavy machine tools " - reported that production capacity is located both in Ukraine and in EU countries, which allows to increase the production of howits. Today, production rates exceed 20 units per month.

Moreover, to ensure uninterrupted output, duplication of the production of components is created - each spare time is made at least two different enterprises. The manufacturer also officially revealed the cost of the 2C22 "Bogdan" - about 2. 8 million euros. Earlier, Belgian analysts estimated howitzers of 2. 3 million euros, but their forecast was low. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian SAU remains cheaper than many Western counterparts.
