It is unknown how many more "Orlan-10" remained in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, because the Ukrainian military has knocked down many such drones from the beginning of the invasion. Colonel Yuri Solovey, who heads the air defense of the Ukrainian Land Forces, said that since the beginning of a full-scale war, his subordinates have been destroyed by more than 580 "Orlans-10". The Russians began to use other drones instead, which indicates a deficiency.

The deputy commander of the battalion of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces Lieutenant Alexander Sosovsky shared the story of how, together with his comrades, he almost died through this drone in Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian officer, together with four soldiers, drove into the village near the front line and heard a hum above their heads - the Russians began to fire them.

The military moved from place to place, hid in shelter and even tried to split, but the enemy constantly adjusting the fire with the help of "Orlan" flying in the sky. This is not the only case, but lately, Sosovsky has noticed less than Russian drones. Earlier, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation often launched two "eagles" at once to seek the position of the Armed Forces, and the other directed artillery blows, and by the summer they began to rarely appear even one at a time.

In September, after a successful counter -offensive of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region, the commander of the Russian battalion "East" Alexander Khodakovsky complained about a sharp shortage of drones. According to him, without "artillery intelligence" can not determine where the Ukrainian military strikes.
