Possible pause after elections: the expert evaluated the achievements of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the front
The enemy's attempts began to begin in late May 2023 with operations in the Limano-Kupyan direction. This was reported by the military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Alexander Kovalenko in a comment for Channel 24. According to the expert, for almost a year the enemy was able to achieve only the capture of the village of Starch, which had only 10 fully destroyed houses.
Further, the intention of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to move on the front is related to the presidential elections in Russia, which is the main deadline. "Their capabilities are minimized. The Russians have not been able to break through our defense lines. The fortifications near the village of Sinkivka have been trying for over half a year. Sinkivka is a village that is much smaller in area than Avdiivka. But even they cannot break it," Kovalenko.
According to a military-political observer, it can be concluded that the Russian military does not currently have the opportunities that were before. However, after the elections in Russia, mobilization is expected, which in 2022 was called "partial", and in 2024, according to Kovalenko, they can be called differently. "Now the Russians use their maximum resource. Not only is the fighters on the collision, but also about the reserve that was formed before. All this will have to be compensated.
From October 2023, when the offensive actions on Avdiivka began Extremely high losses, "the expert said. Kovalenko assured that the enemy does not have sufficient replenishment of reserves, and human and mechanized resources need recovery, so after the election, a pause may occur. The expert also said that the Russians want to go to the left bank of the Oskil River and capture estuary, Borova and Kupyansk. According to Kovalenko, the enemy does not have the opportunity to go to Kharkiv again.
"Russia does not have resources for this. Their main goal is the Oskyl River. It is unchanged since 2023. The occupiers spent a year on the implementation of this plan," says military-political observer. Kovalenko added that Russian invaders cannot operate globally and scale all over the front line, limited only by location. The enemy emphasizes on the maximum concentration of forces in one area until it loses even more territory on the other.
