President

We need to set a peace that Putin will no longer be able to break - President's appeal to the Summit of Joint Expeditionary Force.

Thank you very much, Christine! Thank you very much for the invitation and the opportunity to speak! Dear friends! I am glad to see you all and gratefully grateful for your continuous support and attention to Ukraine. First, I want to note the EU decision on new sanctions against Russia and your determination, especially the coastal countries of the Baltic and North Seas, to limit Russia's shadow tanker fleet not only through sanctions but also in other ways.

This fleet is one of the biggest threats. Putin uses these tankers to finance his war, and most of these vessels are old, poorly served and function without any supervision. Recently, two oil tankers sank near the Kerch Strait. These vessels were almost 50 years old. They should not be operated at all, especially in this part of the water area and this season. Now our sea is faced with another environmental disaster caused by Russia.

There are much larger and more dangerous Russian tankers in your seas. This fleet should be stopped. This will not only stop the financing of the war of Russia, but also protect nature. I urge you to take even more decisive measures to make the shadow tanker fleet and other Russian vessels, including those carrying weapons, they could no longer function in European waters. Second. You probably have received a report that the North Korean troops were involved in hostilities.

Now Ukrainian soldiers are holding back attacks that are involved in North Korean soldiers. Their number can grow, and we all have to realize it. This clearly shows that Putin cannot cope on his own, so he draws others into an even more war. Pyongyang also despises human life as Moscow, paying people with Russia in exchange for goods and military technologies.

This returns us again and again to the need to strengthen our defensive cooperation - in the production of all types of weapons that allow the war at a distance. We need to protect our people. We need to do our best to destroy Russia's ability to wage war from as much distance as possible. To do this, we need more drones, modern artillery and long -range missiles. I thank you, friends, for investing in our defense production and for increasing weapons production in your countries.

Our arsenals must meet the threats we face, and the European industry is quite capable of achieving it. But we need to expand this cooperation and these investments. We also discussed earlier, during our various meetings, the preparation of our joint brigade - with the participation of the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltic States, as well as the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. I ask you to realize that to life. Third. Air defense.

Last Friday, the Russians made a massive rocket strike on our energy infrastructure. They waited for the onset of cold to strike. 94 rockets and almost 200 shock drones were used in this blow. Fortunately, we managed to defend ourselves. But we know: this is only a pause, and Russia will try to strike a new blow, as soon as it is ready. They always do so. That is why we need a reliable guarantee of protection against air terror, which means the presence of enough air defense systems.

We need a full implementation of agreements on the supply of air defense systems, including those reached at NATO summit in Washington. We remember that as a compensation for the inability to invite Ukraine to the Alliance at that stage we have been promised a considerable number of air defense systems. I ask for your help to make it done. And frankly, our partners know that we need 12-15 systems, except for these to completely protect our country from Russian rocket strikes. It's real.

The main thing is the political will of our partners. I now turn specifically to the United States first. To the United States and Europe, of course. And also to friends who are now online - our friends from Sweden, a country that can quickly provide a full Patriot battery by sending both radar and starting installations. As for other opportunities, our team is already in touch with your teams. And one more.

Every new month of this struggle between Russia and the free world proves the importance of coordinating our efforts. We all need to stay together. Russia will continue to escalate its threats until it can afford it. Therefore, we need more work together, more coordinated steps and efforts. We must strengthen all our formats of cooperation, including combined expeditionary forces. Ukraine is ready for greater interaction and joining JEF as a member.
