The Russian authorities claim that the drone attack was allegedly repulsed by air defense forces. However, despite this, the light went out in a number of settlements of the Volgograd region after the explosions. "Repair services are restoring electricity supply to the settlements adjacent to the Balashovska substation of the LEP transmission line in the Kikvidzen, Uryupin, Novomykolaiv and Novoanin districts," the governor said.

In addition, drones attacked the Saratov region of the Russian Federation at night. According to Russian media, local residents heard at least 10 explosions, particularly in the Saratov and Engels area. Before that, the Saratov airport was closed due to the threat of UAVs. The Russians also implemented the "Carpet" plan at the airport of the Penza region. Monitoring channels noted that in Saratov, a local oil refinery was previously under attack.

However, there was no official information about this at the time of publication. According to the Russian edition "Izvestia" with reference to the local authorities, at least one resident was injured in Saratov due to the drone attack. In addition to the listed regions, explosions also rang out in Kursk late in the evening on November 7. The Russians reported a drone attack on the city. Also, in the Russian city of Ryazan, an ignition was recorded in the refinery area.
