Night attacks by ShahED Drones: Experts warned of a new threat to Ukraine
According to the construction of the Armed Forces Command, on the night of August 2, the Ukrainian troops managed to knock down 23 Shahd drones, and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Sergei Popko, added: 10 of them were destroyed over Kiev. It is expected that the main goals of Russia this time became the capital of Ukraine and the port infrastructure in the Odessa region.
Defense Express pointed out that the attack is different from the previous areas from which the Russians launched ShahED. According to the Armed Forces Command, this time the Drons-Kamikadze came from three directions: Kursk, Cape Chaud in Crimea and Primorsko-Akhtarsk on the shore of the Azov Sea. Each of these locations has already been used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but usually mentioned one or two areas, but not three at once.
For example, on July 19, the Russian army was launched by Shahd from Chaudes and Primorsky-Akhtra, and on July 13: from Kursk region and Primorsky-Akhtra. Analysts suggest that earlier the invaders were limited to two sites due to the lack of specialists who were able to prepare the technique for attacks. Ukraine needs to prepare for the launch of ShahED simultaneously from several different places, which will complicate the forces of Air strikes.
At the same time, according to the authors, the use of ShahED-136 requires a rather complicated terrestrial infrastructure, so the Russians trigger them from the same places. It is likely that it will allow the Ukrainian army to strike effective blows to the dislocation of experts-operators and facilities of the same infrastructure.
