"Long Neptune" first showed the public: analysts explained what a special rocket (video)

To spread: Ukraine officially presented a modernized winged rocket RC360L, known as "long Neptune", capable of overcoming up to 1000 km with a combat part of 260 kg. The parameters of the rocket were shown at the Kiev exhibition together with the Neptun -D complex. According to the Defense Express portal, at the interactive exhibition in Kyiv the State Portal "Weapons" for the first time showed the full technical characteristics of the RC360L rocket and the Neptun -Ds.

The new modification is officially marked with Neptun -D indexes for the complex and RC360L for the missile. Interestingly, the stated flight range reaches 1000 km - almost 3. 5 times more than the anti -ship version of P -360, which has overlooked only 280 km. The weight of the battle part also increased to 260 kg against 150 kg in the previous version.

That is, the developers could, we can say, combine two complex characteristics at the same time - to increase both the range and the power of the ammunition. In the available photos, you can see that the length of the rocket without an accelerator is about 6 meters, ie 1. 5 meters more than in P -360, and the diameter of the body increased to about 50 cm from 38 cm.

Although the details of the guidance system are not disclosed, the ability to attack ships suggests that the active radar head of the self -esteem remained. To fly over land, engineers have solved several complex tasks: the rocket is able to overcome a variable relief, follow a certain route without satellite navigation and accurately striking land goals - which is known to be much more difficult than being put on large metal objects at sea.

And, as an additional bonus, the RC360L simultaneously increased both the range and the mass of the combat part, which makes it really unique development. Recall that JSC "Ukroboronprom" released the detailed parameters of the Neptune D rocket and the Drone "An-196 February". In particular, it is known that Ukrainian developments are able to strike marine and ground targets by hundreds of kilometers and are already used in combat operations.
