According to the SBU, a security guard, who accompanied Viktor Yanukovych during an escape to Rostov-on-Don, has passed the FSB available to him since work in UDO secret plans and algorithms of action in case of threat to the life of the President of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine neutralized the agent network of the FSB, which included former guards of Viktor Yanukovych and the current serviceman of the National Guard. This was reported by the SBU press service.

"The SBU exposed the agent network of the FSB of the Russian Federation, which gathered confidential information about Ukrainian special services and law enforcement agencies, as well as domestic high -ranking officials and public figures who were interested in the enemy," the statement said. According to law enforcement officers, the Russians planned to use this information to eliminate, recruit and conduct information and psychological special operations against Ukrainian officials.

The SBU said that the leader of this cell was 48-year-old Dmitry Ivantsov, a former head of the State Security Department (UDO), who accompanied Yanukovych during his escape to Russian Rostov-on-Don. "After the occupation of the peninsula (Crimea, - ed. ) Ivantsov betrayed the oath, took Russian citizenship and moved to the Federal Security Service of Russia.

The pre -trial investigation found that the traitor continued to work actively at the FSB," the SBU reported, in particular, the investigation was established that Ivantsov has transmitted the FSB to him since the work of UDO secret plans and algorithms for the threat to the life of the President of Ukraine.

Ivantsov involved in the intelligence activity in favor of the enemy of the former Vicecrector of Yanukovych's protection Roman Lap, who also remained in the Crimea, as well as a 46-year-old Kiev resident, who is still a military serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine and in the past was a driver of Ivantsov when he served in UDO.

"The National Guard used his acquaintances of law enforcement officers to obtain information from departmental information systems, and also had to seek" like -minded people "for recruitment. In the case of receiving these data, the traitor planned to transfer them to Ivantsov through pre -prepared agent communication channels," the SBU said. The Security Service detained the National Guard because it acted and lived in Kiev. The attacker is in custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

The criminal acts of Dmitry Ivansov and his accomplice in Crimea were qualified under Part 2 of Art. 28, h. 1, 2 tbsp. 111 (State betrayal, committed in the conditions of martial law by prior conspiracy by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
