The Russians were replaced by the ZPP: in the exclusion zone after the explosion will be three cities (infographics)
Focus decided to understand which cities would become unusable if a man -made disaster would occur at the nuclear power plant. It should be noted that at the beginning of August 2022, the State Exclusion Zone Management Agency analyzed the possible consequences of the accident at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. In order to evaluate the possible consequences of disaster, Energoatom experts were startled from the consequences of the 1986 accident at the Chernobyl NPP.
According to their calculations, the consequences of the ZPP accident may be ten times more powerful than in 1986 at the Chernobyl NPP. After all, the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is the most powerful in Europe. Today, all its six reactors are loaded with nuclear fuel. In addition, there is a repository of waste nuclear fuel on the territory of the nuclear power plant. It contains 18,000 fuel collections. This is almost ten more than in the Chernobyl NPP in 1986.
The Advisor to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Lala Tarapakin in his Facebook post analyzed the consequences that await Ukraine after the explosion at the ZPP. According to her, tens of thousands of Ukrainians will die shortly after the explosion at the nuclear power plant. More than a million people will be eliminated. And two million Ukrainians will need to be immediately moved from the infected area. The Dnieper River will also pollute the Dnieper River.
Dnipro water can not be used for drinking and for technical purposes. After a man -made disaster, an exclusion zone is formed, an area of 30 thousand square kilometers. This means that it will ten more exceed the area of the exclusion zone near the Chernobyl NPP. In particular, virtually the entire Zaporizhzhia region will become unusable for people and agriculture. In addition, people will be evacuated from Melitopol, Energodar, Zaporozhye, Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih.
At the same time, the area of potential contaminated territory will be approximately 2 million square kilometers, and the degree of infection of other territories of Ukraine and Europe, Russia and Belarus will depend on the wind direction. Only Uzhgorod, Lviv and part of the Volyn region will remain in a relatively clean and unaffected area. We will remind, on June 20 Kirill Budanov told that the Russians additionally replaced the Zaporozhye NPP.
