"Physical Response": NATO Secretary General told that it is waiting for the Russian Federation in the case of nuclear weapons
The publication quotes NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who expressed his position on Russia's nuclear blackmail. "Any use of nuclear weapons of the Russian Federation will have unprecedented consequences and will probably cause the physical response of many allies and potentially NATO itself," the General of the Alliance said. He also recalled that NATO would conduct planned training "Sustainable Noon" next week.
According to Stoltenberg, the NATO forces will not abolish the planned training through a full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, as this can be an incorrect signal for the Russian Federation and strengthen the escalation in Ukraine. The Union forces, as usual, work out the use of American nuclear bombs based in Europe with training flights without combat weapons.
The NATO Secretary General stressed that in response to the attack of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, the Alliance decided to strengthen its presence in the Baltic and North Seas. There are now more than 30 warships that protect critically important infrastructure. Earlier, Focus wrote that NATO would focus on strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
Kiev needs different types of air defense - small and long range, against drones, ballistic and winged missiles, the General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg emphasizes. The first step was to deliver the German Iris-T system. Also, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has recently expressed the opinion that NATO should have prevented preventive blows in Russia.
