Theft of millions on products for the Armed Forces: NABU told whether the excels of Reznikov were suspected

Four suspects are now in Ukraine, and another, the beneficial owner of the suppliers of products for the Armed Forces is abroad. The latter will apply a special process: first they will be announced on the international wanted list, and if it does not produce results, they will launch a special pre -trial investigation, Abakumov explained.

According to NABU, the persons involved in large -scale theft rolled up the state for UAH 733 million. If they continued their activities, budget losses would be UAH 1. 5 billion. Supply companies offered the Defense Ministry to buy products for the Armed Forces under a catalog of 409 positions. The essence of the scheme was that prices were raised several times on the required food.

One of the episodes of the case included a discussion of meat supplies: instead of a quality product, the dealers wanted to send poor quality soldiers. The illegally earned money was withdrawn from Ukraine, the owner spent them on the purchase of real estate in Croatia, law enforcement officers noted. Focus wrote how the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine purchased 80-year anti-tank mines M6A2 for the military for almost 600 euros apiece.
